Dentist & Implantologist in Glendale, AZ

My approach to care

Listen first, treat the person. I start with your goals, health history, and what a good outcome looks like for you—not a preloaded treatment plan.

Examine carefully, explain clearly. I use photos, digital X-rays, and plain language to walk through findings, risks/benefits, and realistic costs before we decide anything.

Match care to your timeline and budget. We co-create options—from conservative maintenance to comprehensive rehab—sequenced so they’re doable in real life.

Least invasive that lasts. When possible, I favor preservation (remineralization, micro-bonding, onlays) before crowns or extractions; when advanced care is best, we do it right.

Breadth with focus. Day to day I manage prevention, restorative, and bite issues; I also provide cosmetic treatments, endodontics, surgical extractions, implants, and full-arch solutions when indicated.

Precision and comfort. Modern anesthesia, isolation, and fit/occlusion checks so work feels good and functions well—today and years from now.

Continuity over quick fixes. I track outcomes, maintain what we restore, and adjust as your needs change—because dentistry isn’t one moment, it’s a long-term partnership.

Collaboration when it helps you. If a specialist is the better path, I’ll connect you and stay involved to keep the plan coherent.

Clinical background

I earned my DMD at Midwestern University (Glendale, AZ) after an earlier life in music—performing as a cellist taught me precision, listening, and timing, which now serve me well in the operatory. My clinical training and post-graduate coursework emphasize implants, endodontics, surgical extractions, and cosmetic/adhesive dentistry. I’m sedation-certified and comfortable guiding patients through urgent situations with a steady, stepwise plan.

Whether replacing one tooth or an entire arch, my process is the same: diagnose thoroughly, plan restoratively, and keep you comfortable. I handle site preservation, socket grafting, ridge augmentation, and immediate or staged implant placement. For full-arch cases, we coordinate temporaries so you’re never without teeth and work toward durable, cleanable final prosthetics.

Implant services I provide:

  • Single tooth implants and implant crowns

  • Implant-supported bridges

  • Overdentures (locators)

  • Full-arch fixed solutions (All-on-X style), with staged or immediate protocols

  • Complication management (loose screws, fractured provisionals, peri-implantitis triage)

Want a second opinion on an implant plan? Bring your scans or we’ll take new imaging and walk you through options.

Why we built Smile Science

We designed Smile Science to feel calm, clean, and efficient—no chaos, no mystery bills. From the moment you check in, you’ll notice small things that add up: same-day triage for urgent cases, digital imaging that’s quick and precise, and clear estimates before we start. Emergencies are treated like… emergencies. That means pain control first, a careful exam, and a straightforward plan that explains what’s urgent today and what can wait—so you leave knowing exactly what we did, what it cost, and what’s next.

What you can expect on an urgent visit

  • Fast triage & pain control. We prioritize same-day/next-day slots for true emergencies and get you comfortable first.

  • Precise diagnostics. Digital periapical X-rays (when indicated) and bite checks to pinpoint the problem, not guess at it.

  • Plain-language options. We explain the “treat now vs. treat soon” choices, with pros/cons and recovery time.

  • Transparent pricing. You’ll see an itemized estimate before treatment—no surprises at checkout.

  • Clean, calm environment. Private ops, modern sterilization, and a team that moves efficiently without rushing you.

Technology that serves the plan—not the other way around

  • Low-dose digital imaging for quick, clear views.

  • In-op visuals and written after-visit instructions so you remember exactly what we discussed.

  • Text-friendly follow-ups and easy scheduling if a second stage is needed.

FAQ

How fast can you see me for an emergency?
Same-day when possible; otherwise next-day. Call early—we triage by symptoms and can often start relief (exam + PA, smoothing, pulpotomy, or extraction) at that first visit.

Do I go to the ER or the dentist first?
Go to the ER for facial trauma, uncontrolled bleeding, trouble breathing/swallowing, or fever with facial swelling. For most tooth pain, fracture, or lost fillings, a dentist is faster and far less expensive.

What’s included in the $99 Emergency Membership?
Unlimited emergency exams and indicated PA X-rays for a year, plus discounted fees on common urgent treatments. It’s not insurance—just predictable access and pricing.

Do you place implants or refer out?
I place and restore implants—from single tooth to full-arch—and manage site preservation, grafting, and staged/immediate protocols. If a case needs a different specialist, I’ll tell you why and coordinate.

Am I a candidate for implants if I’ve lost bone?
Often yes. We review health history, imaging, bite, and hygiene; options can include ridge preservation, guided placement, or staged grafting to build a stable, cleanable result.

How do you approach “same-day” decisions?
Stabilize pain first, then choose the least-regret path. If the nerve is inflamed, we may do a pulpotomy or start a root canal; if the tooth is non-restorable, we’ll discuss extraction and site preservation that day when appropriate.

Will you tell me the total cost before treatment?
Always. You’ll get a written estimate with good-better-best options. We stage larger plans (e.g., full-arch) so payments and milestones are clear.

Do you offer sedation?
Yes—oral sedation options when indicated. We review medical history and medications and monitor you closely; you’ll need a driver.

What if I’m not sure whether to save or extract a tooth?
I’ll give you an honest, prognosis-based recommendation—save it when it’s a durable win; extract when it’s a money pit. Either way, we map timing and cost so you’re not guessing.

How do you keep treatment conservative?
By diagnosing precisely (photos, PA/CBCT when indicated), using adhesive dentistry where it shines, and planning restorations around long-term maintenance, not just the day of delivery.

What about radiation from dental X-rays?
We follow ALARA principles and use modern digital sensors that require very low exposure. Imaging is taken only when it changes decisions.

Do you work with insurance?
We’ll verify benefits, submit claims, and show you estimated copays. Membership savings apply regardless of insurance status.

What happens after implant surgery?
You leave with written instructions, a follow-up schedule, and a direct line if something feels off. Provisionals keep you social; finals are delivered after stable integration and healthy tissue.

Can I get a second opinion on a big plan?
Absolutely. Bring your scans or we’ll take new ones. You’ll leave with a clear summary and next steps—even if the best step is “wait.”

Personal note

I’m a dentist who loves hard problems and clean solutions. Before Smile Science, I wrote code, built websites, and fell down the rabbit hole of automation and AI—the same curiosity now powers how I run a practice. If there’s a way to shorten a patient’s time in pain, remove friction from intake, or explain a tough choice in plain English, I will automate it, diagram it, and ship it.

I also come from music. I studied cello seriously, ran a small cello studio, and spent years inside orchestras learning timing, listening, and teamwork. That training shows up in the operatory: steady hands, measured decisions, and respect for rhythm—of procedures, healing, and life outside the chair.

At home, I’m a husband and dad who still picks up the cello, experiments with home-lab tech, and overthinks espresso. Our dog Joey and cat Cecilia make regular cameo appearances on Zoom consults. If you’ve got a favorite Glendale restaurant, I’m all ears—half my treatment plans end with food recommendations anyway.

If you’re comparing options, here’s what you can expect from me: careful diagnosis, transparent costs, and a clear path—from same-day pain control to single-tooth or full-arch implants—with as little drama as possible.

A few things I’m into

  • Turning messy processes into simple flows (yes, I use AI, automation, and custom scripts in the practice).

  • Evidence-based dentistry with patient-friendly language.

  • Implant planning that’s prosthetic-driven and maintenance-friendly.

  • Music that rewards active listening.

  • Teaching—whether it’s a nervous patient or a young musician.
